Service

AVSA offers guided mountain outings, both in Switzerland and abroad, with a focus on client safety and comfort. The entire organization, planning, and coordination of the trek are managed by AVSA.

Guidance

Guidance is provided by a trained and certified mountain guide according to ASAM criteria. The guide is committed to executing the project within the feasibility allowed by mountain conditions and the participants' abilities. My priorities are the safety and comfort of the participants. Outdoor mountain activities practiced outside of developed and secure areas entail certain risks. The guide will utilize their experience to minimize these risks. The guide operates with individual liability coverage of up to 10MCHF.

Responsibilities

As a participant, you are responsible for signing up for an outing that corresponds to your current health condition and physical and technical abilities. You must also possess appropriate equipment listed in the gear lists. It is also your responsibility to inform us of any relevant medical conditions that need to be taken into account. During the outing, you must follow safety instructions. Failure to do so gives us the right to immediately terminate our agreement, with the remaining full price still due. Your safety is our priority. Due to the inherent natural risks of outdoor hiking, we cannot guarantee absolute safety, despite thorough planning. By signing up for an outing, you explicitly acknowledge and accept these risks.

Registration

By registering for an activity in our program, you entrust yourself to professional guidance. The information you have received and the online reservation form serve as the contractual basis subject to the general conditions of the Swiss Mountain Guides Association (ASAM). Registration for an activity can be done online on the corresponding www.a-v-s-a.ch website or via email at info@a-v-s-a.ch. Registration is confirmed upon payment of the activity price. For day activities, the registration and payment deadline is set three days before the activity date. For multi-day activities, the registration and payment deadline is generally set two weeks before the start of the activity. For non-program activities, registration is confirmed by payment of the agreed total price. For trips, we require a registration fee equivalent to 50% of the total price.

Price and Payment Conditions

400 CHF half-day or evening 500 CHF full day These rates are recommended by the Swiss Mountain Guides Association and apply solely to planning, organization, and secure guidance by a certified mountain guide. Other potential costs related to transportation, beverages, food, equipment rental, and necessary accessories are not included in these prices. The base rate may also be increased based on the preparatory work required for the activity and the number of participants. AVSA reserves the right to adjust prices for stays at any time due to fluctuations in currency rates or costs incurred by service providers (huts, inns, transportation services, local providers, etc.). Payment must be made in advance of the outing directly via IBAN to the following account, specifying your name and first name in the comment field: CHXXXXX

Cancellation

If a registered person cancels participation in the activity when our organization is already committed (reservation, accommodation, guide), 50% of the activity price is retained if canceled less than 10 days before the activity, and 100% if canceled less than 5 days before the activity. For these reasons, we advise our clients to have cancellation insurance for cases of illness or accidents.

In case of adverse conditions

For 1- and 2-day activities, in the event of adverse conditions (snow, wind, fog) that make it impossible to carry out the project under acceptable conditions, the guide will propose an alternative objective whenever possible. For activities lasting 3 days or more, participants are required to accept a change of destination. In any case, if the activity is canceled, an alternative date will be proposed in consultation with the participants. A registered person unable to reschedule an activity date will be fully refunded. During the activity, the guide may modify the initial plan for safety reasons.

Group activities

The number of participants per guide during a group activity is determined by safety, comfort, and mobility criteria. Our prices are calculated based on the number of participants specified for each activity project. A project may be canceled if the number of registered participants is insufficient, but arrangements can be made in agreement with the participants (reduced duration, adjusted price).

Insurance

Each participant must have accident and medical insurance with repatriation coverage valid for mountain activities and the countries where the activities take place. Valid liability insurance per participant is also mandatory. REGA offers comprehensive coverage for mountain rescue for 30CHF per year and is strongly recommended.

Accommodation

Unless otherwise indicated, overnight stays take place in mountain huts, lodges, or small hotels depending on the season and type of activity. Depending on the destinations and period, the comfort of the visited accommodation may vary.

Transportation and Travel

Travel is arranged using the participants' vehicles after coordination. A contribution of CHF 0.50/km per person in the guide's vehicle is requested if it needs to be used. Unless stated otherwise, the use of cable cars and ski lifts is not included in our prices.

Services provided by a third party

AVSA assumes no responsibility for damages resulting from a third party's failure to provide the contracted service correctly (e.g., hut keepers for overnight stays, foreign trips, etc.).

Travel

Travel activities are subject to additional general conditions specified in the detailed program of each project, but in general, it is strongly recommended to have cancellation insurance and repatriation insurance for trips abroad.

Data Protection

We guarantee the confidential management of all customer data. The transmission of this data to third parties is excluded.

Image rights

Unless explicitly mentioned otherwise, AVSA reserves the right to use all multimedia content created during its outings for promotional purposes. This content may be created by ourselves, our clients, other participants, or authorized individuals.
